Sausage Stuffed Jalapeños with Cream Cheese and Bacon
Jalapeno boats stuffed with a mixture of cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic, green onions, bacon, and Italian sausage. This is the perfect appetizer to bring to any party or picnic. Not too spicy at all and packed with flavor!
If using the oven, preheat it to 400 degrees F. Otherwise, turn your grill on medium-high.
Slice your jalapenos open lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes, turning them into little boats.
In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, garlic, salt, pepper, green onion, cheddar cheese, and sausage.
Fill each jalapeno boat with the cream cheese filling.
If using the oven, place the stufffed jalapenos on a sheet pan and bake for 18-20 minutes.
If using the grill, place the stuffed jalapenos directly onto the grill grates over medium heat and grill until you see beautiful grill marks on the bottoms and the tops have a light golden brown color. It only takes about 15 minutes, so watch them closely.
Remove them from the grill onto a serving platter and top each one with pieces of bacon and torn cilantro.
