Pork Carnitas Tacos in the Crockpot

Delicious spiced pork shoulder cooked slow in the crockpot falls apart with the touch of your tongs! Perfect for taco night!

  1. Mix your spices together to create a rub, then rub it all over your pork.  Heat olive oil over high heat in a heavy bottom pan, then add the pork to the pan and brown on both sides.  Transfer your browned pork and all the juices from the pan to a crockpot, put the lid on, and set it to cook for 6 hours on low.  Remove the lid after 6 hours and break the meat up with your tongs.  It will fall apart easily.  Mix the shredded meat up with it's own juices, then serve as the meat for your taco night!
