Pizza Roses
Description
These Pizza Roses are the perfect little show-stoppers that look fancy but are secretly effortless. Flaky crescent roll dough gets sliced into strips, slathered with savory pizza sauce, showered with melty mozzarella, and sprinkled with classic Italian seasonings. A row of pepperoni lines the edge, peeking out like petals just waiting to bloom. Each strip is gently rolled into a rose shape, tucked into a muffin pan, and baked until golden brown and irresistibly bubbly. Crispy on the outside, soft and cheesy on the inside, these Pizza Roses are guaranteed to steal the spotlight at any party, date night, or cozy night in.
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 375 degrees and spray a muffin pan with olive oil.
-
Unroll the crescent dough sheet and cut into roughly 1" wide strips.
-
Spread a light layer of pizza sauce onto each strip of dough.
-
Next cover it all with cheese and hit it with a light dusting of garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
-
Then, layer the pepperoni slices on the top edge of each dough strip, overlapping each slice and positioning the pepperoni so the top halves stick off the edge of the dough.
-
Then roll up each dough strip into a tight roll and you'll immediately see roses emerge before your eyes!
-
Place each rolled up Pizza Rose into the muffin pan and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
-
Allow to cool slightly. Remove from pan and serve warm with extra pizza sauce on the side. Â
