Bacon Taco
Description
Imagine a taco shell made entirely out of bacon! This is it and it is glorious!
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350°. Cover a small plate (salad or side plate sized) with parchment paper. Make a bacon weave with 5 strips of bacon going lengthwise and 5 strips of bacon going cross-wise.
-
Using kitchen shears and the plate as a guide, cut the extra bacon and parchment paper off all around the plate so that you're left with a perfectly round, woven bacon taco tortilla.
-
Leaving the bacon on the parchment paper, hang the bacon taco tortilla directly from the oven rack so the sides dangle down, making sure to have a sheet pan on the bottom oven rack to catch all the dripping grease. Roast in oven until cooked to desired doneness.
-
When one, remove the entire oven rack from your oven and set on top of your kitchen sink to cool and to allow the taco shell to crisp up.
-
Carefully peel off the parchment paper and serve filled with your favorite taco fillings. I love to serve mine with cheesy scrambled eggs, avocado slices, and salsa. Enjoy!
