Whether you're looking for a fun dinner idea, planning a party, or packing a picnic, these pizza pockets are the perfect solution. Stuff them with all your favorite toppings from pepperoni and cheese, to sausage, spinach, and sun dried tomato! The possibilities are endless!
Remove the prepared pizza crust from the tube and unroll it onto a cutting board, stretching it out a bit to make it a uniform size and thickness all the way around.
Cut the pizza dough horizontally into four equal sections, then cut those sections vertically to create 8 small rectangles.
Add some pizza sauce and shredded cheese to half of each small dough rectangle. Then add the toppings of your choice.
Some topping combination ideas:
Folder the dough over the toppings from corner to corner to form triangles and secure each pizza pocket with the tines of a fork all the way around the dough.
Combine the melted butter and garlic salt, then brush this mixture all over the tops of all the pizza pockets. Sprinkle some finely grated Parmesan cheese (from the green shaker if you have it) on all the pizza pockets.
Bake at 425° F for about 13 minutes, or until your pizza pockets are golden brown and toasty. Enjoy immediately with some extra pizza sauce or pack up to take with you on a picnic!
