A cheesy, sweet and spicy delight of a dip packed with Hot Italian Sausage, BBQ sauce, and a blend of cheeses. Topped with green onions and sliced pepperoncini for that added kick.
In a medium skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage, breaking it up into crumbles, until cooked through. Transfer to a small bowl and set aside.
Return the same skillet to medium-high heat and stir in the red onions, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Cook until golden and lightly caramelized, about 4 minutes.
Reduce heat to medium-low. Add the BBQ sauce, cooked sausage, and cream cheese and stir until combined and smooth. Remove from the heat and stir in shredded cheese and milk until combined.
Garnish with green onions, pepperoncini, and drizzle extra BBQ sauce over top. Serve with my homemade flour tortilla chips.
