Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos
Description
I've taken the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer made famous by Bonefish Grill and turned them into tacos! Creamy, sweet, spicy and crispy shrimp with cold fresh veggies. A delicious and surprisingly light meal!

Instructions
-
Make the marinade by combining buttermilk, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder. Pour over peeled and deveined shrimp and stir to coat. Set aside until ready to bread.
-
Chop up all your "fixins" so they're ready for taco assembly.
-
Cook your tortillas over an open flame on both sides to give them a slight char. Set aside.
-
In a small bowl, stir together Bang Bang Sauce ingredients and set aside.
-
Remove shrimp from the marinade one at a time, letting excess marinade drip off. Dip both sides in cornstarch until fully coated, tap off the excess and arrange breaded shrimp on a platter.
-
Once your oil is heated to 375 degrees Fahrenheit, fry your shrimp for just a few minutes until light golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
-
Transfer fried shrimp to a bowl and coat them with the sauce. Toss gently until shrimp are coated.
-
To assemble tacos, grab a charred tortilla and add shredded cabbage, then 3 fried shrimp, then top with your toppings of choice (avocado, green onions, diced tomato, and cilantro are great options). Enjoy!
